2. Hosting and server log files
Hosting. The website is hosted by [name and address of the hosting provider]. Processing takes place in my interest in a secure, efficient and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR exists with the hosting provider.
Server log files. When you visit the website, the web server automatically collects the following data, as technically necessary, and stores it in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- referrer URL (previously visited page)
- browser type, browser version and operating system
This data is required to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted automatically after [7 / 14] days. They are not merged with other data sources.
3. Contacting me
If you write to me by email, telephone or contact form, I process your details (name, contact data, content of the message) to handle your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. If you use the contact form, your message is stored in this website’s database and forwarded to me by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if the enquiry is related to a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures (for example concert, performance or composition enquiries), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my interest in handling enquiries effectively). I do not pass this data on without your consent. I delete it as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way. Commercial and tax-law retention periods (up to ten years) remain unaffected.
4. Cookies, analytics and external content
Cookies. This website only uses technically necessary cookies (a session cookie for language choice and form protection, and a cookie that records that you have acknowledged the notice). Technically necessary access to your device is permitted without consent under § 25(2) TDDDG; the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can set your browser to reject cookies or to delete them when you close it. The functions of the website may then be restricted.
Audience measurement with Matomo. I use the open-source software Matomo to evaluate the use of this website statistically and to improve it. Matomo is operated without cookies; no information is stored on or read from your device. The following data is processed: your shortened (anonymised) IP address, the page visited, the referrer, browser, operating system, screen resolution, language and the time of the visit. The data is not merged with other data and no profile across several websites is created. It is processed exclusively on the Matomo server at www.wavelogo.de and is not passed on to other third parties. The raw data is deleted after [12] months. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in designing and improving the website to meet demand). You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR); to do so, you can switch off measurement for your browser here:
Fonts. The fonts are loaded locally from my own server; no connection to third parties is established.
Embedded videos and music. The listening samples are played directly from this server; no data is transmitted to third parties in the process. Videos are embedded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and are only loaded after you click “Load video” (two-click solution). Only then is a connection to YouTube’s servers established and your IP address transmitted. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, which you give by clicking. For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise it by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar. The data transmitted cannot then be read by third parties.
